Trekking in Indus Valley
Day 1: Delhi- Leh
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will catch the flight for Leh. Upon arrival
at Leh you will transfer to hotel or overnight stay.
Day 2: Leh
After breakfast you will go on a sightseeing tour of the Leh city that
covers the17th century Leh palace and Gompa/monastery. Overnight stay
will be at hotel.
Day 3: Leh
Breakfast follows a tour of Shey, Tikse, and Hemis Gompas/monasteries,
the spiritual heart of Ladakh. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in
Ladakh.
Day 4: Leh
After breakfast you will go for a sightseeing tour of the Stok Palace,
the home to the hereditary rulers of Ladakh and Spitok Gompa/monastery.
Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 5: Leh-Likir
Breakfast follows a tour of Basgo, Alchi, and Likir Gompas, the sacred
Buddhist monasteries. Overnight stay will be in the camp at Likir.
Day 6: Likir-Yangthang
You will set out to trek over Pobe la (3,550 meters) to Yangthang.
Overnight stay will be at Yanghang.
Day 7: Yangthang
You will take a trek to Rizong Gompa and then return back to Yangthang.
Overnight stay will be at Yangthang.
Day 8: Yangthang-Sermanchan
On the eighth day of the India trekking tour you will begin your trek
over Sermanchan la (3,750 meters) and Lago la (3,750 metres) to Ang.
Overnight will be at Sermanchan.
Day 9: Sermanchan-Wanlah
From Sermanchan you will begin your trek to Temisgang, then over
Bongbong la (3,630 metres) to Khaltse and finally by jeep to Wanlah.
Overnight stay will be at camp at Wanlah.
Day 10: Wanlah-Lamayuru
You will begin your trek from Wanlah over Prinkiti la (3,725 metres) to
Lamayuru. Overnight stay will be at the camp at Lamayuru.
Day 11: Lamayuru-Leh
You come to the end of the India trekking tour and will return to Leh
by jeep. Overnight stay will be at hotel in Leh.
Day 12: Leh-Delhi
In the morning you will catch the flight to Delhi and on arrival check
in a hotel for overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 13: Delhi Departure
After the exciting India trekking tour it is time to say good bye to
India. Our representative will transfer you to airport for catching the
flight for your onward journey.
