Tour Details
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Welcome and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
City sightseeing of Delhi - Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, Humanyun's Tomb,
Indira Gandhi Museum, India Gate, President House, Birla Temple. Later
in New Delhi visit - Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat. Enjoy dances of
India in the evening - live classical, folk and tribal dances or light
and sound show at Red Fort (optional). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi / Agra (200 km - 4 ½ hours)
Morning drive to Agra visiting Sikandra Tomb of Akbar on the way.
Transfer to hotel on arrival. Afternoon excursion to Fatehpur Sikri.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04: Agra / Delhi
Early morning visit to Taj Mahal and stay there till sunrise. Return to
hotel for breakfast and visit Agra Fort. Afternoon drive to Delhi.
Transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05: Delhi / Leh
Early morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Leh. Pick up by
our representative and transfer to hotel. Take a complete rest for
acclimatization with high altitude (3500 metres above sea level). Short
walk around Leh market in the evening. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06: Leh - Monasteries
Excursion to monasteries, enjoy a wonderful morning experience at the
prayer ceremony at Thiksey monastery. Continue drive to Hemis Monastery,
which is one of the most famous monasteries of the Ladakh region. Visit
to Shey Palace on the way back. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: Leh / Chumathang / Tsomoriri (240 km)
Morning drive to Chumathang - famous for medical hot spring. People
visit this place for medical bath. Then drive to Tsomoriri. The Lake at
this place is the breeding ground for numerous species of birds like bar
headed goose, crested grebe, Brahmini duck (ruddy sheldrake) and the
brown-headed gull. The Lake is 8 km wide and 28 km long. Overnight stay
in tents.
Day 08: Tsomoriri
Morning visit to Korzok village. The few barley fields at Korzok are
probably among the highest cultivation in the world. Visit around the
Lake in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Day 09: Tsomoriri / Korzok / Puga / Tsokar / Tanglangla / Leh
Drive to Puga Valley via Mahe village. The village is famous for its
scenic beauty with shooting fountain and white clouds hanging upon.
Continue drive to Tsokar via Polokongka pass (13500 ft.) and visit
Tsokar (small Lake) and one can visit Thugke Gomp. The place is known
for wild asses - are generally seen here grazing in flocks. A short
drive from here connects to Leh - Manali national highway. Continue
drive towards to Leh via Tanglangla pass (5350 Mtrs.), which is the
second highest motorable pass in the world. Arrive Leh in the evening.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10: Leh
Rafting on Indus River from Phe to Nimu. Hot lunch at bank of Indus. In
the later afternoon return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11: Leh / Khardongla Pass / Leh (85 km)
Excursion to Khardongla pass, which is the highest motorable pass in
the world 5600 metres and has been recorded in the Guinness Book of
World Records. At the top, enjoy the beauty of the nature. Return to
hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12: Leh / Srinagar (Flight available only on Thursday / Sunday)
Transfer to airport to catch flight for Srinagar. Pick up from the
airport by our representative. Transfer to hotel and rest of the day is
free. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 13: Srinagar
Morning visit to world famous Mughal Gardens. Visit Nishat Bagh - the
garden of pleasure and Shalimar Bagh - abode of love. Return to
houseboat for lunch. Afternoon Shikara ride on the Dal Lake and see the
interesting places around the lake. Overnight stay at houseboat.
Day 14: Srinagar / Gulmarg / Srinagar (112 km)
Excursion to Gulmarg - one of the most beautiful summer resort in
Srinagar. Enjoy Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg.
Return to houseboat for overnight stay.
Day 15: Srinagar / Delhi
Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Delhi. Pick up from
the airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free and overnight
stay at hotel.
Day 16: Depart Delhi
Transfer to airport to connect flight for home.
