Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi our representative receive you at the airport and
will transfer you to hotel. You can venture out for a little sightseeing
on your own. Stay overnight at hotel in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi / Jodhpur
After breakfast embark on a city tour of New Delhi and Old Delhi,
covering Birla Temple, Akshardham temple, India Gate, Parliament area,
Humayun's Tomb, Qutab Minar, Gandhi Memorial, Jama Masjid and Red fort.
While New Delhi boasts of an impressive array of memorials and
government buildings, the Old Delhi offers a glimpse into Delhi's
heritage. During the trip you can pick up artifacts and accessories in
the famous markets of Chandni Chowk and Janpath. In the evening you will
be transferred to railway station for overnight train journey to
Jodhpur.
Day 03: Jodhpur
The historic city of Jodhpur in Rajasthan is well known for its ancient
forts and palaces. After breakfast, visit the magnificent Mehrangarh
fort built in 1469 by Rao Jodha. This sprawling edifice nestles within
its ramparts a number of palaces such as Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh
Mahal, Takht Vilas and Jhanki Mahal. Also visit the opulent Umaid Bhawan
palace and Jaswant Thada, the Royal cenotaph built in the memory of
Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. In the afternoon, you will be taken a Bishnoi
village to explore the colorful tribal life of Rajasthan. Stay overnight
at hotel in Jodhpur.
Day 04: Jodhpur / Jaisalmer
You have the entire day to yourself. If you are done with sightseeing,
then set out on a shopping spree to pick up some exotic keepsakes. Some
of the popular shopping items of Jodhpur are footwear, handicrafts,
leather goods and antique pieces. Late evening transfer to
railway-station for overnight train journey to Jaisalmer.
Day 05: Jaisalmer
The train reaches Jaisalmer in morning. Our representative will
transfer you to the hotel. Jaisalmer, named after Rajput ruler Rawal
Jaisal, was one of the strongholds of the brave Rajput rulers of
Rajasthan. After breakfast, you will be taken for a city tour of
Jaisalmer Fort, bazaars and the old mansions, known as "Havelis".
These medieval Havelis display exquisite carvings and filigreed work and
people still live in these Havelis. In the afternoon, you will be driven
outside the Jaisalmer city to see the Amar Sagar Lake and the Sunset
Point for a superb view of Jaisalmer. Overnight will be at the hotel in
Jaisalmer.
Day 06: Jaisalmer / Jodhpur
After breakfast, you will be free to spend the day as you wish. You can
either relax at the hotel or pursue your own interests. Late evening
transfer to railway station for overnight train journey to Jodhpur.
Day 07: Jodhpur / Udaipur
After arriving at Jodhpur you will transfer to a hotel for wash and
change in public rooms, followed by breakfast and drive to Udaipur
visiting Ranakpur Temples on your way. Ranakpur is famous for its
beautiful Jain temples. These Jain Temples have grand structures and
beautiful sculpture. It is interesting to note that there are 1444
pillars in the temple and none of them are similar. Upon arrival at
Udaipur our representative will transfer you to hotel. Stay overnight at
hotel in Udaipur.
Day 08: Udaipur
Udaipur is one of the most beautiful cities of Rajasthan with a
landscape dotted with palaces and lakes. It is also known as the Lake
city. After breakfast, you will be taken for a city tour of Udaipur
visiting the City Palace, the Jagdish Temple, the Fatehsagar Lake,
Sahelion ki bari (Queen's resort for her friends) and the Bhartiya Lok
Kala Mandir (Folk art museum). Enjoy the boat ride on the placid waters
of Lake Pichola in the evening. Overnight will be at hotel in Udaipur.
Day 09: Udaipur / Jaipur
You will have free time to relax till noon. In the afternoon take an
excursion to Eklingji and Nagda temples. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the
Eklingji temple enshrines a splendid 50 feet high multi-faced black
stone statue of Lord Shiva. In the evening you will be transferred to
railway station for overnight train journey to Jaipur.
Day 10: Jaipur
The train reaches Jaipur in the morning. Jaipur, also known as the Pink
city, is the capital of Rajasthan state. Upon arrival you will be
transferred to the hotel. Breakfast follows a visit to the Amber Fort,
the erstwhile bastion of the mighty Rajputs. The architecture of the
imposing fort is a synthesis of Hindu and Mughal styles. The tour to
Amber fort follows an afternoon city tour of Jaipur, covering the Hawa
Mahal, the City Palace, the Jantar Mantar (Royal Observatory) and
Bazaar. The Hawa Mahal or 'the Palace of Winds,' constructed by Maharaja
Sawai Pratap Singh, is a prominent landmark of the city. Overnight stay
will be at the hotel.
Day 11: Jaipur / Agra
You will have free time to relax in morning. Later transfer to railway
station to board the Agra train. Upon arrival at Agra late in evening
arrive you will be transferred to hotel. Stay overnight at hotel in
Agra.
Day 12 Agra / Delhi
Agra is synonymous with the Taj Mahal, the edifice of love. This
magnificent mausoleum was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his queen
Mumtaz. Breakfast follows a half-Day city tour of Agra visiting the Taj
Mahal, the Red fort and the Itmad-ud-Daula's Tomb. In the evening you
will be transferred to railway station to catch the train for New Delhi.
Upon arrival at New Delhi you will transferred to airport for flight
back home.
